Farm To School
Farm to School and school to farm programming involves local students in the work of running a small farm. Students work closely with plant and animal life as they discover where their food comes from. Within this context all subject areas can be included: science, history, biology, ecology, environmental issues, math and even spelling. School programming is developed to work with the unique interests of the visiting classes. We offer tours, daylong field trips and year round curriculum.
Health, nutrition and earth stewardship are intrinsic lessons in all farm curriculum.
Students learn and work in conditions that are environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible. Students learn to value fresh produce for taste, nutrition and sustainability.
