1st Source Bank – Bertrand Farm was a recipient of the “150 Years, 150 Cheers” Award in 2013.

 

SARE
SARE – Sustainable Agriculture and Research Education Grant. “SARE’s mission is to advance—to the whole of American agriculture—innovations that improve profitability, stewardship and quality of life by investing in ground-breaking research and education” Theri Niemier, farmer, received a SARE grant in 2012 to further develop internship curriculum for the small farm model. In 2014 this curriculmn will be made available to the public through Bertrand Farm and SARE’s on-line web site.

 

inovaeus-solarInnovateus partnered with Bertrand Farm in 2014 to bring solar powered energy to the farm . Alternative energy is a focus of Sustainability at Bertrand Farm and Innovateus.
